Following the closure of a previous chapter in December 2023, founders Veruca, Grovesy, and Scumerica realized they were all searching for the same thing: a better way to play. By merging their individual projects into one united front, they set out to build more than just a server—they built a home. Their mission was clear from day one: to create a survival experience that never loses sight of its most important asset—the community.

Community Director & Lead Map Designer
Veruca serves as the bridge between our players and the development process, ensuring the community’s voice shapes the evolution of the server. She combines administrative leadership with creative world-building to maintain the unique atmosphere of The Underground.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Advocacy: Acts as the primary liaison between survivors and developers, translating player feedback into actionable server goals.
World Architecture: Leads map design and asset placement, creating custom points of interest, immersive trader hubs, and fortified safe zones.
Operational Oversight: Manages player-facing challenges, ticket resolutions, and day-to-day community interactions.
Structural Integrity: Establishes and enforces server rules and restrictions to ensure fair play and a balanced survival environment.
Event Design: Crafts the physical layouts for high-intensity server events, focused on environmental storytelling and tactical gameplay.
Grovesy
Lead Developer & Systems Specialist
Grovesy is the architect behind the server’s most challenging encounters and its technical foundation. He balances high-level gameplay engineering with rigorous backend management to keep The Underground stable, secure, and unpredictable.
Key Responsibilities:
Mission Engineering: Primary developer of the proprietary TU_Missions system, powering dynamic events, AI encounters, and tactical objectives.
Infrastructure Management: Spearheads all backend server maintenance to ensure peak performance and 24/7 stability.
Cybersecurity & Defense: Acts as the "guardian of the realm," hardening server infrastructure against external threats and exploits.
PVE Content Design: Designs and codes high-stakes gameplay elements and complex mission logic.
Performance Optimization: Regularly audits server code to maintain a seamless experience, even during high-player-count events.
Scumerica
Lead Developer & Mod Specialist
Scumerica drives the continuous technical and visual evolution of The Underground. She balances the complex task of mod integration with high-end asset creation to ensure a unique and polished gameplay experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Mod Development: Creator and lead developer of the SC_UM mod and primary maintainer of all TU proprietary mods.
Server Evolution: Manages daily updates and technical configurations, ensuring all new and existing mods are perfectly fine-tuned.
Creative Customization: Spearheads the development of custom reskins, translating donor requests and clan identities into high-quality in-game textures.
Technical Integration: Bridges the gap between complex mod coding and visual asset deployment to maintain server stability.
Visual Identity: Oversees the aesthetic consistency of the server’s custom gear, ensuring the wasteland remains visually distinct and immersive.
